X-server-Problem

Hi

Ich bin ein Neuling was Debian angeht, habe bis dato nur mit Suse gearbeitet und bin hierbei nicht zuweit in die Materie eingestiegen.

Seit Vorgestern läuft bei mir nun Debian Woddy 3.00r, nur leider läuft der X- Server nicht. Ich habe schon verschiedene Configuartions ausprobiert (mittels xf86config). stoße aber immer auf's gleiche: der X startet nicht.

Folgendes meldet er

...
(EE) Screen(s) found but none have a usable configuration

Fatal server error
no screens found

nun ich habe nen PIII/650 und ne GeforceMX400, also keine Exoten. Und hab nach x-mal umconfigurieren, keine Ahnung an welcher Stelle ich weitersuchen soll!!

Es wäre auch net, wenn mir mal kurz jemand Sagen kann, was die Zeichen am Zeilenanfang der log-file heißen, also (II) - Das ist das meiste, (--),(**),(EE), Das letzte wird wohl ERROR heißen, aber der Rest is mir nicht so ganz klar.

Nun mir is klar, dass das hier wahrscheinlich alles, primitivste Anfänger Probleme sind, und wenn mir jemand sagen kann wo ich mich besser hinwenden soll (Irgend ein Anfänger Forum) tut ich das gerne. Ansonsten bin ich Dankbar für jeden Hinweis!

Das Programm ist schlecht, genauso wie xf86cfg. Mit beiden habe ich X nicht zum laufen gebracht, obwohl ich meine Hardware im Schlaf kenne und die richtigen Daten eingegeben habe.

Schau ins Logfile, da steht alles genau beschrieben.
Markers: (--) probed, (**) from config file, (==) default setting,
(++) from command line, (!!) notice, (II) informational,
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented, (??) unknown.

Am bessten ist, Du schnappst Dir einen Editor und konfigurierst manuell. Wenn Du probleme hast, poste Deine /etc/XF86config-4

Erstmal vielen Dank für die Antwort!

Also ich hab mir mal die Config angeschaut, find aber nach ersten Blicken darauf nicht, was ich ändern sollte, damit ein ' usable configuration' Screen ensteht :-).

Damit ist die folgende XF86config-4 noch so wie's dex(/b)conf(?) erstellt hat!

Sorry, aber ich hab mir eingebildet ich die anderen Topics hier vorher durchgessehen, aber das in dem meine Lösung steht wohl übersehen!!

Trotzdem Vielen Dank für die Tipps!!

Ich musste nur wie im Topic Xserver und nvidia (oder so), den Framebuffer deaktivieren und jetzt funsts!!

Und jetzt werd ich mich noch aN GNOME2 versuchen!!

Lösungen:

1.) Du stellst Dir eine höhere Bildschimauflösung ein.
2.) Du kaufst Dir eine Scollmaus.
3. Du besorgst Dir eine Brille.
4.) Du ignorierst das Post

Ich habe kein Problem mit langen Posts, ausserdem habe ich Ihn gebeten die Datei zu posten, angepasst habe ich sie so, das er einfach per copy+past eine funktionierende Datei erhält.

Dies trägt zur Problemlösung bei!

Grüße wickeyoffline, den der schei** Server hier schon wieder rausgeworfen hat.... DAS Nervt, kümmere Dich als Admin lieber um solche Probleme ;D

A hab ich alles von dem du schreibst. B war das nur ein guter Tip um so besser du postest um so besser können wir antworten. Speziell zu seinem Problem hätte ich die Lösung gehabt!
Ich bin kein Admin und hab mit dem Technischen Seite von diesem Server nichts zu tun, aber persöhnlich fliege ich nie raus allso kümmer du dich um einen gescheitern browser oder eine bessere Verbindung
