hallo leute,

vorab: ich weiß, dass dieses thema schon viel behandelt wurde und hätte ich mich nicht schon extrem lange damit beschäftigt würde ich auch nicht posten Winken

also,
mein problem ist, dass ich keinen aktuellen nvidia treiber installiert bekomme und somit auch keine 3d-beschleunigung nutzen kann. egal ob ich in der paketverwaltung nvidia-glx oder nvidia-glx-new installiere, oder den treiber von nvidia.de herunterlade und ihn in der konsole von hand installiere (was glaube ich dasselbe ist), der x-server kann nach einer installation nicht mehr gestartet werden. ich habe jetzt schon einige vorgegebene installationen durch, nun sind die trixer dran Winken

unter anderem habe ich mich daran gehalten: Nvidia-Grafikkarten

wäre super, wenn mir jemand helfen könnte, denn allein die auflösung von nur 1024x768 bei nem 17" tft ist nervig

Also, eigentlich sollte er nvidia-kernel mit der Kernel-Versionsnummer raushauen.
Wie sieht deine /etc/apt/sources.lst aus?
Steht da jeweils hinter main restricted auch universe multiverse ?

hmm das wundert mich, da ich den treiber jetzt schon 100 mal installiert habe und zumindest bei der installation nichts schief ging (nicht merkbar

)

den treiber direkt von nvidia.de habe ich im textmodus installiert:

1. x-server runtergefahren
2. installation gestartet
3. versuch den x-server wieder hochzufahren

laut installation kompiliert er ja nen treiber, der mit meiner kernel-version harmonieren sollte (wenn ich das richtig verstanden habe) nach der installation fragt er, ob er den x-server, sprich xorg.conf automatisch konfigurieren soll und sobald ich das mache startet der x-server nicht mehr...

ich bin nicht unbedingt linux-fan, aber ubuntu fand ich schon immer interessant... bisher gab es immer irgendwas, was nicht auf anhieb laufen wollte

beim vorgänger waren es haufenweise fehlende codecs und nicht der treiber, nun umgekehrt... naja das wird schon

nun habe ich mal den nvidia-glx-legacy treiber installiert.
nach der installation habe ich den x-server neu konfiguriert und den nvidia treiber ausgewählt. starten konnte ich den x-server danach wieder nicht. allerdings konnte ich die xorg.conf so abändern, dass zwar der "nv" standardtreiber gestartet wird, aber eine höhere auflösung möglich ist... 3d-beschleunigung habe ich aber nach wie vor nicht.

noch einer eine idee???

Hmm..
glx ist drin, und dri auch.
Geht es jetzt eigentlich darum ,dass X garnicht startet, oder geht es nur um die 3D-Beschleunigung?
Bei ersterem würde ich vorschlagen, "nv" durch "nvidia" zu ersetzen. Ich hab auch den legacy, und nv lief bei mir nicht. Ich musste nvidia eintragen.
Bei letzterem kann ich dir leider nicht weiterhelfen.

nene, es geht darum, dass der x-server nicht mehr startet, sobald ich in der xorg.conf den "nvidia" treiber wähle... bei "nv" (so wie die xorg.conf nun aussieht) startet das system normal.

aber es geht ja darum, dass der "nvidia" gestartet wird

neuer stand der dinge:

ich habe mal alles was mit nvidia zu tun hat deinstalliert und anschließend den nvidia-glx-new installiert. dabei kam rum, dass der x-server mit "nvidia" eintrag in xorg.conf zwar startet, jedoch der monitor schwarz bleibt... man hört ganz normal diesen startsound (die bongos bei der anmeldung), erhält nur kein bild...

bin ich der sache näher? *g*

ES FUNKTIONIERT!!!

der stand, den ich als letztes beschrieb, stellte sich als korrekt heraus

der bildschirm blieb schwarz, weil linux nicht mehr meinen tft als standardmonitor angesehen hat, sondern den crt, der ebenfalls an dem rechner hängt...

man was ein gewurschtel...

für die zukunft:

1. alles deinstalliert, was mit nvidia zu tun hat

2. nvidia-glx-new, mit den abhängigkeiten installiert
3. in die xorg.conf unter "Device"

Driver "nvidia" eingetragen
4. den monitor ausgang getauscht *g* (mit dem programm "nvidia-settings" soll man in der konsole wohl den standardmonitor auswählen können!)
