Erst mal hallo miteinander. Das ist mein erster Post in einem Linux Forum, bin absoluter Neuling. Habe mir nen neuen Laptop (Toshiba P100-102; Intel Core Duo 1,86 GHz, 1GB RAM) zugelegt und mir vorgenommen jetzt den Linux Einstieg mit Suse 10.1 zu schaffen. Die Installation lief eigentlich problemlos (hat glaube ich alles erkannt). Ich komm nur nicht über den im Notebook integrierten WLAN Stick (Intel Wireless 3945ABG) ins INet obwohl er im Yast erkannt wird. Hab schon diverse Howtos und Anleitungen durch, Alles ohne Erfolg. Kann mir hier bitte jemand helfen die ersten Hürden zu nehmen und das Wlan zum laufen zu bringen? Ach ja, wie kann ich den abchecken ob meine Grafikkarte (Nvidia 7600 Go) richtig läuft (erkannt wird sie)?
Wäre echt super wenn Ihr mir weiterhelfen könntet.

nach iwconfig kommt: no wireless extensions. Das komische ist das im Yast der Stack erkannt wird. Aber nicht konfiguriert werden kann.

Zu Geil! Habs geschafft. Musste nur den ucode entpacken und ins richtige Verzeichniss kopieren. Im Fal Suse war das /lib/firmware.
