Falls das alles nicht funktioniert (was ich mir allerdings nicht vorstellen kann) dann lade das Modul einfach haendisch: modprobe eepro100 (und schreib das z. B. in eins der RC-Scripte)
Das ist keine gute Idee. Für solche Fälle bietet Debian die Modutils an. Per modconf können Module configuriert werden (nona) :-). Die Netzwerkkarte ist einzurichten mit (tja, da gibts auch ein Tool, fällt mir aber nicht ein, da ich das immer manuell mache), jedenfalls in Datei /etc/network/interfaces. aliase sind in die /etc/modutils/aliases einzutragen. (Wieder per irgendeinem Modutil, mache das immer manuell)
Deine Lösung sollte funktionieren, ist aber weder Debianlike noch überlebt sie eventuell ein Systemupdate.
