Normalerweise sollte dem kopieren nichts im Wege stehen.

Hello Thank you for reporting this issue. This bug is being tracked under the following Bug-ID: 4881146 Synopsis: HotSpot Virtual Machine should print error message if /proc is not mounted See also: 4787752, 4825081 Work Around: create an empty file /proc/stat/self in your chroot file system. This bug was entered by a user on freebsd, but you would face the same problem when running chroot'ed. This has been fixed in Tiger (J2SE 1.5) and is under consideration for a fix in a 1.4.2_xx release. I don't have information about when that might happen.
